Judith Jack Marcasite
Marcasite jewelry became fashionable during the Victorian era as the dark mineral complimented the subdued and somber fashion style during that time. Judith Jack Company first started as a company selling these antique pieces. As the popularity of Judith Jack marcasite jewelry grew, they shifted to manufacturing replicas or pieces inspired by the vintage styles.
As each piece is lovingly handcrafted, the same care should be applied during daily use. To maintain the luster and shine of your Judith Jack marcasite jewelry, regularly clean it with a soft cloth. It is best to do this daily after taking off the jewelry at the end of the day. Avoid contact with cosmetics such as hairspray, lotions, perfume or soap. Thus it is advisable to always apply make-up or spray on perfume before putting on jewelry.
For a more thorough cleaning, a quick dip in warm soapy water and wiping off with a clean cloth is recommended. The piece should be completely dried at the end of cleaning to avoid moisture.
Avoid the temptation of cleaning your Judith Jack marcasite jewelry with ammonia, other chemicals and cleaning agents. Neither should the marcasite be soaked in water. Do not attempt to remove stubborn dirt with a steamer, hot water, or an ultrasonic cleaner. It is recommended to email Judith Jack customer service at (repairs@judithjack.com) for cleaning or repair requiring professional help.
All Judith Jack marcasite jewelry is under a one-year warranty form the date of purchase. More specific warranty terms and conditions are included in the container together with the product.

If this isn’t the Judith Jack Company, please do me the kindness of passing my message on to them. Finding contact information for them has proven to be just about impossible.
On May 18 my home was burglarized and all of my finest and most sentimental jewelry was stolen.
Among those items, was a Judith Jack marcasite necklace that was about 1″ wide the entire length, with an irregular outline (like cut out leaves). It encircled the base of my neck. It was purchased from the Nordstrom in the Cerritos Mall, Cerritos, CA in the mid-1980′s. I loved that necklace and am devastated by the loss of everything.
I absolutely must replace it. I could identify it if you have photos of choker-type necklaces produced in the 1980′s. Would you either know where I may obtain another, or would I be able to place a custom order for it? Over the past 3 years I’ve had the most awful series of events occur. I could really use a break. Anything you could do to help me would be tremendously appreciated.
Warmest regards,
Lisa Amato
